TWO STORIES – one about a selfish genie and another about a hapless gnome who knows nothing about gardening – will be told in Redditch and Hanbury.
The Meanest Genie by Carla Buckley and Little Green Fingers by Tristan Harris will be staged in the upstairs room of the Palace Theatre at 6.30pm on Friday (June 13) and at the Jinney Ring Craft Centre the following Saturday and Sunday (June 20 and 21).
Those performances start at 1pm.
The Meanest Genie follows poor little Mel as she encounters the meanest genie in the world. Instead of granting her wishes, he twists them for his own amusement and turns them into horrible spells. Can this mean genie turn good?
Little Green Fingers follows the tale of a hapless gnome Neville who can’t keep a garden at all. His flowers are dying and are being overtaken by nasty weeds. Can he overcome his enemy Captain Weed with the help of Freda, the friendly fairy?
The new and original pieces of children’s theatre, being staged by Big Frog Productions, promise plenty of fun for all the family.
Tickets for the Palace Theatre performance are £6.75, £3.75 for discounts, and £19 for a family.
