A PRODUCTION usually done by a massive cast will be put on by just a single talented performer when David Mynne brings his one-man-show version of Great Expectations to the School Drive venue.
The classic tale is about Pip, a seven-year-old orphan who has a frightening encounter with an escaped convict whilst he is visiting his mother’s grave.
David, mostly using Dickens’ original words, prides himself on ‘bringing the audience a cast of thousands all by himself’ (with the help of director Simon Harvey).
One review described the quirky production as ‘Deft, daft, delightful.. and definitely Dickens’.
Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, are £12 (£10 concessions).
