Droitwich Editorial 24th Jun, 2016 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

THE NORBURY Theatre’s production of Hello Dolly got under way on Wednesday and takes place this week and next.

The show tells the story of Dolly Gallagher Levi a matchmaker from New York who is always meddling in other people’s lives but who decides that this time she will find a second husband of her own and sets out to marry Horace Vandergelder that well known Yonkers half a millionaire!

Along the way she manages to match up Mr Vandergelder’s Chief Clerk Cornelius Hackl, his niece Ermengarde, Barnaby Tucker and various others before they are all arrested after an eventful night at the Harmonia Gardens restaurant.

The show features well-known songs such as Put on Your Sunday Clothes, Before The Parade Passes By, It only Takes a Moment and of course Hello Dolly!

The production is guaranteed to have you singing along and tapping your feet.

Performances take place tonight (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) at 7.30pm and at the same time Wednesday to next Saturday (June 29 to July 2).

Tickets, at £14 (£12 for concessions), are available either online at www.norburytheatre.co.uk or by calling 01905 770154
