THE JIGSAW Players Theatre Company will be off to see the wizard at Bromsgrove’s Spadesbourne Suite when they put on their latest production.
The inclusive group will stage the RSC version of The Wizard of Oz at the venue from Wednesday (April 9) to next Sunday (April 13), with shows at 7pm each evening and a 1.30pm matinee on the Saturday and Sunday (April 12 and 13).
The show will feature all of the classic foot-tapping and singalong songs, including The Yellow Brick Road, We’re Off to See the Wizard, If I Only Had a Brain and, of course, Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
Those who go along will be able to join the much-loved characters of Dorothy, the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion on the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City.
Director Maggie Bishton said it was an evening not to be missed.
“This show can be enjoyed by the whole family and – we have a wonderful cast of adults, youth and two teams of children full of enthusiasm, and a wonderful band providing the music.” she added.
