Performances of the touching piece, which is based on the book by Joseph Stein and features music by Jerry Bock and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, will take place at 7pm on June 10 and 11 (Friday and Saturday) and 4pm on June 12 (Sunday).
The show boasts a multitude of memorable and beautiful songs such as Tradition, Matchmaker Matchmaker, If I Were A Rich Man and Sunrise Sunset.
The story is set in Imperial Russia in 1905 and is based around Tevye, The Dairyman and his family and his attempts to maintain his Jewish religious and cultural beliefs as outside influences encroach upon the family’s lives. A story which we can see reflected and unfolding around the world today.
There is a cast of 50 adults, youths and children and the show promises to provide top class and superb musical theatre.
The production will be complemented by an orchestra of talented musicians and led by musical director Chris Corcoran and director Maggie Bishton.
