A MAGICAL musical journey for the festive season will take place when Bromsgrove Operatic Society brings its Broadway to Bethlehem show to Droitwich’s Norbury Theatre.
The charity concert, to raise funds for Acorns Children’s Hospice, will be at the Norbury at 4.30pm this Sunday, December 9.
The event will feature an uplifting feast of music and verse, taking the audience on a cheery journey from the West End and Broadway to Christmas medleys and a few surprises along the way.
Music will include numbers from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, the Sound of Music, West Side Story and songs from festive favourites Home Alone and the Polar Express.
Among the others performing will be members of the Norbury Youth Theatre, singing songs from their recent successful Hairspray show, and folk group ‘Not All There’.
There will be flute solos from Jenny Stubbings and the show is being compered by Bromsgrove and Droitwich Standard editor and stand-up comedian Tristan Harris who will provide a light-hearted look at life as a journalist and the festive season in between the music.
Tickets, at £8, are available by calling the Norbury Box Office on 01905 770154.
