A CATALYTIC converter worth £1,500 was stolen from a white Iveco van while it was parked in a secure yard behind a property in Wassage Way, Hampton Lovett.

It happened between 12midday on Saturday (June 7) and 12midday on (June 8).

It was originally thought the thieves had scaled the 8ft wall protecting the compound but it was then discovered they had cut through a mesh wire fence to gain access, causing £80 worth of damage in the process.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
