Appeal launched after four puppies are heartlessly dumped in Wychbold

A BOX containing four dumped puppies has been found in Wychbold by Worcestershire’s Dog Warden.

Pip Singleton, who works for Worcestershire Regulatory Services, was called out by a member of the public last month and, on finding the young pups, rushed them to vets immediately.

Luckily, after being wormed, fed and watered they made a full recovery and are being looked after in a foster home.

But Pip said it could have been a very different story.

“These puppies were lucky – they could have escaped from the cardboard box and got run over and with the weather being so hot they could have died of dehydration or been caught up in the heavy storms, got soaked through and died of hypothermia.

“No defenceless animal deserves this.”

She pleaded with owners if they found their pets were pregnant and needed help to contact dog wardens rather than dumping them.

“Please think twice and get help.

“We are not here to judge you and all we want to do is help.”

Anyone needing help rehousing puppies can call the dog wardens on 01905 822799.
