THE TEAM at Droitwich’s Vasaanti Indian restaurant are celebrating a prestigious award.
The popular eatery was named ‘Best Restaurant in Worcestershire’ at the TMiiCA Awards.
And, during the ceremony at the Burlington Hotel in Birmingham, chef Ahmed Enam came third in the cookery play-off against many wonderful other chefs.
The competition started off with 200 chefs and was then whittled down to ten before Ahmed made it into the top trio.
The Vasaanti’s proud owner, Akbar Miah, told the Standard: “This is a huge honour, and I couldn’t be prouder of the entire Vasaanti team.
“It is fantastic they have been recognised in this way.
“I want to say a massive thank you to all our wonderful customers for your continued support—it means the world to us.
“Here’s to many more amazing moments together.”
