ONE of Droitwich’s most popular festive events is just around the corner.
The town is fast approaching the season of festive cheer and is just weeks away from its Christmas lights switch on event.
To mark the occasion, the town will host a bunch of festive entertainment in Victoria Square on Saturday, November 23 from 12 noon to 6pm.
Before the lights switch on at 6pm, there will be fairground rides, seasonal stalls, Santa’s grotto organised by Droitwich Lions, a Lantern Festival, Norbury Theatre performances, and live music and dance shows.
The countdown and switch on will be hosted by the mayor, councillor Alex Sinton and Santa but not before a host of music, choir and dance performances.
On the day, the Salvation Army Band, ENTW9 dance group, SB Danceworks, Westacre Middle School Choir and I-Sing Choir will all perform in the town.
Car parking will be free of charge from 12 noon on Wychavon car parks to allow easy attendance of the festivities
