THE NEXT month will be a busy time for the Droitwich branch of the Inner Wheel.
Tomorrow (Saturday) the group will host a jumble sale at The Old Library and then a ploughman’s lunch at Rotary House on Thursday (November 6) – everyone is welcome to attend both events.
And there will be plenty of festive food at the organisation’s Christmas meal on December 4.
At the last meeting, President June Bodger welcomed district chairman Anita Tippin who spoke about her busy schedule visiting all the clubs across the district.
During the speech, she spoke about the two members from Droitwich who had undertaken her role previously, including Diane Sutch who was at the meeting.
She commented that the Droitwich club was a friendly one which worked well with the town’s Rotary branch.
Anita encouraged everyone to invite new members to join Inner Wheel and President June, after thanking Anita for her kind words, presented her with a cheque from the club for her charity, Cancer Research UK.
June also announced on the evening that £224 had been raised at the Macmillan Coffee Morning held at her home.
And members talked about how the Inner Wheel/Rotary joint church service at Tibberton Church was well attended followed by lunch at the invitation of Rotary President Helen Karakashian at her home.
