Droitwich Wellbeing Hub secures vital National Lottery Funding

A MENTAL health wellbeing hub in Droitwich has secured some vital funding to help expand its crucial support services for the next few years.

Droitwich Wellbeing Hub is proud to announce it has been awarded a grant of over £135,000 over the next three years from the National Lottery Community Fund.

The hub says this ‘significant funding will help expand its crucial mental health and wellbeing services to the Droitwich community and surrounding areas.’

Founded in 2021 by Pip Cavilla and Lesley Woollam, the hub supports individuals of all ages—starting from as young as five—through a holistic approach to mental health.

The founders added: “This funding is a huge step forward.”

The hub’s Breaking Cycles Counselling focuses on addressing deep-rooted, systemic issues that perpetuate mental health challenges.

By working closely with the local community, schools, and health services, the hub has become a trusted resource for accessible, professional, and transformative mental health support.

The hub has recently showcased its proven track record of securing positive results for the people it supports (95 per cent reported successful impacts on wellbeing).

These impressive results were highlighted after a collaborative project with Platform Housing Group, which saw the hub support the housing association’s tenants with complex traumas, depression, and suicide.

The National Lottery grant will enable the hub to enhance its services, which have already supported over 200 individuals this year alone.

A key part of the expansion includes the creation of a Wellbeing Garden—a space designed for mindfulness, relaxation, and community connection.

The Droitwich Wellbeing Hub envisions a future where lives are shaped by potential, not past cycles of trauma or limitation.

With this in mind, the hub is calling on local businesses and community members to join in this mission by offering support, sponsorship, or services.

Pip and Lesley, added: “We established the hub during the pandemic when it became clear how much the community was struggling.

“We’re asking the Droitwich community, particularly local businesses, to partner with us. We need sponsorship and in-kind services to help build the Wellbeing Garden and sustain our broader mental health initiatives.”
