YOUNGSTERS across Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Rubery and Redditch have been getting into the festive spirit by taking part in a competiiton to design a Christmas card for the Primrose Hospice.
More than 70 entered the contest, drawing seasonal pictures, and a panel of judges, which included the charity’s chief executive Helen Garfield and a volunteer counsellor chose the winners.
The five best designs will be available to buy in mixed packs of Christmas cards at the Bromsgrove, Redditch, Headless Cross, Rubery, Studley and Droitwich shops with the proceeds going to the hospice. They will also be available to purchase from the Hospice in St Godwalds Road, Bromsgrove.
Helen said: “We had a very high standard of entries and found choosing the winners very difficult.
“The children had all taken time and care and produced some lovely designs.
“We are very grateful to everyone who took part and to the parents and schools who encouraged the children to join in. All the children should be very proud of their work”
The winners were Taymar Rowe, 14, Issy Mole, ten, Ella Godfrey, ten, Neive Phillips, eight, and Ben Greens, four.
