Man arrested on suspicion of attempted rape in Droitwich

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape in Droitwich prompting a police appeal for witnesses.

On Monday (November 25), at around 10.40pm, a woman was followed by a man along Ombersley Way before the man grabbed the woman, aged 51, and attempted to pull at her clothing.

The man involved in the incident is white, of slim build with broad shoulders. He was wearing dark clothing and a face covering.

He appeared from an alleyway which connects to Ombersley Way from Wey Close around the time of incident.

A 49-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape.

Detective Inspector Sharon Wallace-Rathmell, said: “We’re keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything that could help with our enquiries.




“Regular patrols are continuing to be carried out in the area, and I would encourage anyone concerned can speak to an officer.”
