Ombersley pupils pack seasonal shoeboxes for children

Droitwich Editorial 4th Dec, 2014 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

KIND-HEARTED youngsters, staff and parents from Ombersley Endowed First School donated 65 seasonal shoeboxes for underprivileged children around the world.

The school and nursery have been wrapping, packing and donating the boxes full of gifts as part of Operation Christmas Child, which is run by the Samaritan’s Purse charity.

Headteacher Caroline Moore said: “Christmas is a time for giving and this campaign helps us to teach our children about generosity and compassion for other children who in some cases, do not have the food, homes or toys that we take for granted.

“I’d like to thank all our parents, children and staff for helping us to support this very worthwhile cause.”
