A CARE home in Droitwich has welcomed a new general manager to lead the staff team forward.
Rashwood, an Elizabeth Finn care home in Droitwich, has shared the news of Catherine Lines’ arrival as the new leader.
Catherine is no stranger to Rashwood, moving from her role as Elizabeth Finn Homes group Clinical Director to take up this frontline position in the 53-bed care home managing a staff of 100.
Neither is the home manager role a new one as Catherine was previously general manager of the group’s Cotswold Home in 2013, receiving a CQC Outstanding rating under her management
Catherine trained as a registered nurse, culminating in a position as surgical modern matron. She went on to lead Bristol Hospital’s International Recruitment and Education Programme and later moved from the NHS to become Director of Tetbury Hospital in Gloucestershire. She joined Elizabeth Finn in 2013.
“I am absolutely delighted to join the team at Rashwood and lead it through the next chapter in its development,” said Catherine.
“I have a great staff to work with and many plans to further enhance all that Rashwood has to offer.”
“My ambition is to bring the Elizabeth Finn values of Bring Love, welcome All, inspire More and Act with Purpose, to residents and staff every day at Rashwood.”
Working with the National Gardens Scheme and the community gardens, Catherine aims to involve that local community more and showcase how older people living at Rashwood can not only maintain their interests and hobbies, but that they truly flourish.
Catherine also plans to celebrate the Nursing service on offer at Rashwood, with a team of registered nurses on site 24 hours a day. Both Catherine and her deputy have nursing backgrounds which adds to the level of expertise and reassurance for relatives.
