TWO DROITWICH sisters whose grandad died of prostate cancer just before Christmas are holding a family fun day at the Pillar of Salt to raise funds for a charity aimed at beating the disease.

Choi Hy, 23 and Holly Wright, 13 will join the ranks of Prostate Cancer UK’s, Men United movement in memory of Graham Paul Wright when they stage the event next Saturday (August 8).

Among the variety of activities which have been organised are face painting, a barbecue, a DJ, a bouncy castle, glitter tattoos and more. The pair are hoping to raise £200 for the cause.

Choi said: “We decided to organise the event for Prostate Cancer UK because we lost our grandad to the disease and feel there should be more awareness raised so that together Men United will one day beat cancer.

“We are looking forward to the event and are delighted to be raising awareness and much needed money to help beat prostate cancer.”

Mark Bishop, Prostate Cancer UK’s director of fund-raising, thanked Choi and Holly and said: “It’s fantastic to see that Choi and Holly has decided to organise this event to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

“By doing this they are joining Men United and helping to make a real difference in furthering the fight against prostate cancer.”
