A SPECIAL service to celebrate Ascension Day will be held at St Augustine’s Church in Droitwich.
The event, at 7.30pm on Thursday (May 14) will be followed by a bonfire and free barbecue.
Rev Nigel Byard, Team Rector Droitwich Spa, Salwarpe and Hindlip with Martin Hussingtree, said it would be a great way for residents to remember the day when Jesus went up to heaven.
“We would love you come and join us at the church on the hill and for the barbecue afterwards. It will be a great to meet you”
Rev Bev Jameson, Team Vicar Droitwich Spa, Salwarpe and Hindlip with Martin Hussingtree, said “ I cannot think of a more beautiful spot overlooking Droitwich to celebrate Ascension Day and the burgers will be fantastic.”
