THERE will be a variety of entertainment for all ages at this year’s Hanbury Fete, which takes place between 2pm and 5pm tomorrow (Saturday).
The traditional event, in the grounds at Hanbury Hall, has been running for more than a centrury, with the first one being held there in 1912.
Among the offerings will be afternoon tea, bouncy and mega slides for children, train rides, displays of vintage cars, the chance to have a go at archery and skittles.
There will also be real ales and Pimms, bottle and chocolate tombolas, plate smashing, a coconut shy and stalls selling a variety of items, including jewellery, cards, hand-made gifts, home-made cakes and candy floss.
And there will be live performances by the Worcestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra and children from Hanbury First School.
Michele Dunn, representing the Hanbury Fete Committee, said there was always plenty of good old-fashioned fun, which made for a really special afternoon.
“We hope the variety of attractions that have been arranged will be enjoyed by all who attend,” she added.
Admission, which includes access to the Hanbury Hall’s beautiful gardens, is just £2 per adult and children go free.
Unfortunately, due to a policy of the National Trust, which owns Hanbury Hall, no dogs will be allowed.
