POLICE are trying to trace a man who was seen running from the scene of a crash on the M5 between Bromsgrove and Droitwich this morning.
The smash, which involved a Ford Fiesta and an MG car, happened around 7.50am earlier this morning on the southbound carriageway between Junction 4a (Bromsgrove and the M5) and Junction 5 (Droitwich).
The man who ran from the scene was white, believed to be in his late 20s and was wearing a white t-shirt and red shorts.
The road was partially blocked but later reopened.
The emergency services and National Highways traffic officers went to the scene.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said 999 calls were received about 7.25am.
“An ambulance and paramedic officer were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews found three vehicles had been involved in a collision.
“Three patients were assessed – a man, a woman and a female child – but none of them required further treatment and were discharged at the scene.”
The driver of the ford fiesta was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Delays
The tailbacks stretched back five miles which has led to the hour-and-a-half wait times and drivers were urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
All lanes have now reopened.
