CHILDREN in Wychbold have described their school’s latest fundraising event – a colour run – as ‘the best day ever’.
Wychbold First and Nursery School hosted the event on September 27 and raised an impressive £500, which will be reinvested by the school.
The school’s parent and teacher association organised the event which gave the teachers an opportunity to cover the children with powder paints.
Rebecca Wilks, headteacher, said: “The children certainly enjoyed getting their own back.”
Funds from the event will help with curriculum enrichment, extra curricular activities, school equipment and more.
Parent and teacher association chairman, Jazz Gogna, added: “A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our Colour Run. Very grateful to our PTA Team and parent helpers who helped make this event a success.
“It was lovely to hear the children say ‘it was the best day ever’.”
