ALL of the finals in this year’s Wychavon Parish Games have taken place.
Tuesday saw two finals with the Crib, sponsored by Broadway Parish Council, taking place at Broadway Bowling Club, This resulted in a fairly easy win for Evesham Bengeworth over Sedgeberrow. The final of the Men’s Darts, sponsored by KC Carpets, was a repeat of last year’s final. However this year Evesham Bengeworth got their revenge for the result in 2023 coming out on top, winning 4-3.
Sedgeberrow were in action again on Wednesday in the finals of the Dominoes, sponsored by Glassier Windows. This time their opponents were Bretforton. However, unfortunately for Sedgeberrow, they were again the runners up, as Bretforton came out on top, winning by 6 games to 3.
The final of the Pool, sponsored by Kanes Foods, took place on Thursday. Here Wyre Piddle were easy winners, winning by 3 games to 2.
The last final of this year’s Games was the final of the Skittles, sponsored by Shukurs at the Queens Head in Sedgeberrow. In a really exciting match, Harvington started well and led at the end of the first leg 73-66 and maintained a 1 pin lead after the 2nd leg. The lead then kept changing, and the scores were level at the start of the final leg. Bengeworth then pulled ahead to win overall by 5 pins.
The Presentation Evening will take place on Friday 22nd November at Bengeworth Social Club Coronation Street, Evesham.
