DROITWICH DOLPHINS enjoyed another weekend of success as they dominated in the C Final of the Worcestershire Winter League.
Going into the final as one of the favourites, the swimmers put on a strong performance to claim 16 victories, 13 second places and eight third place finishes.
After the 40 events had been completed, the Dolphins won by an impressive 38 points.
The open-aged team of Rebecca and Ruth Hadley, Aaron Biddle, Tom Dean and Chris Jenkinson won nine out of ten races, with Ruth winning the 100m Butterfly, Backstroke and Breaststroke, Rebecca winning the 100m Freestyle, Aaron winning the 100m Back and Freestyle and Chris the 100m Breaststroke.
The team were joined by Elle Mortimer and Ashleigh Turner to win both the Freestyle and Medley relays.
Ashleigh also won the 13 & 15yrs 100m Backstroke, George Grech won the 13yrs 100m Breaststroke, Elize Smith won the 13yrs 100m Freestyle and Felicity Quiney in the 11yrs 50m Butterfly.
The 13yrs team of George, Ashleigh, Elize, Will Armstrong, Alex Munro and Anja Kristy also won both their Freestyle and Medley Relays.
Head Coach Chris Hadley said: “It was a strong performance from all the Dolphins and with improvements still to be made it is looking good for those swimmers who will be competing in the Midland Championships at the end of April and May.”
