Droitwich Men’s B started their Herefordshire & Worcestershire Division Five season with disappointment after losing 4-2 to Boughton B.
On a cold spring evening, Bob Smith and Mark Pearsall lost both of their matches as well as Eric Cartelet and Nick King.
However, debutant Oliver Shiers partnered by Joe Maidment combined brilliantly to win both of their matches.
Elsewhere, the drizzly weather did not stop the Ladies B team as they continued their superb start to the season with a 6-0 victory over Ombersley B in Division Four.
Linda Price and Lydia Walker-Cox twice came from a set down to win their matches 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 and 0-6, 6-2, 7-5.
Heather Fellows and Sue Webber produced two fine performances to win both of their matches 6-3, 6-2 and 5-7, 7-6, 6-0.
Caroline Brookes and Jackie Passey stole the show with some breathtaking tennis as they won 6-4, 6-0 in the first match before winning 6-0, 6-2 in their second.
