DROITWICH Men’s G ended their Herefordshire and Worcestershire Winter League Division 11 East campaign in fourth following their losing draw to Ombersley D.
Melanie Cook and Helen Bibbey picked up a fine 6-4, 7-5 win in their first match before losing their second 2-6, 1-6.
Judy Robins and Julia Brown lost their first match 3-6, 1-6 but the pair did respond well in their second to come away with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 victory.
However, it was not enough as Ombersley got the winning draw.
Elsewhere, the Mixed D team also finished their winter season over the weekend, but in disappointing fashion as they lost 4-0 away to an in form Wombourne A team in Division Six East.
Christina Sellers and Nigel Hughes gave their all but lost both encounters 4-6, 4-6 and 2-6, 3-6 respectively.
Ricky Hollander and Lydia Walker-Cox also battled hard but lost their first game 3-6 4-6 before losing a three-setter 4-6, 6-4, 3-6.
Defeat for Droitwich means they end the campaign in fifth.
