RAMPANT Droitwich Seconds remain top of the Midlands Reserve League Division Three table following their emphatic 72-7 victory at Woodrush Seconds.
A commanding display on Saturday afternoon saw Brad Cook (4), Sean Walker (2), Ben Skinner, Andy Vizor, Jimmy Hilson, James Dawson, Ari Liddell and Michael Cragie all cross the line.
Vizor also kicked six out of the 12 conversions in the difficult conditions as the visitors stormed to victory.
Skipper Craig Browne said: “We are very happy with how Saturday went. A lot of new and upcoming players from the junior section joined us for their senior debuts against Woodrush.
“It is a great position for the club to be in.
“Woodrush tried to battle us up front, but we managed to keep the edge throughout.”
With no league game this weekend, Droitwich have arranged a friendly against the Birmingham School of Engineers at the Glyn Mitchell Memorial Ground on Saturday (3pm KO).
“Last season we won one and lost one against them,” added Browne.
“It’s going to be a tough game as we look to develop some more players into the senior section.
“Having superb numbers at training is helping all three sides this season.
“We hope to make it two wins over the Engineers this year.”
