DROITWICH’S first female player to be selected for one of the club’s senior sides made her debut for Worcestershire Rapids at the weekend.
Bowler Jacey Foster made her first appearance for the New Road side on Sunday against the Nottinghamshire Outlaws after the men’s T20 clash between the same two teams.
Despite not turning her arm over and Notts winning by 29 runs, Jacey, who was ironically born in Notts, thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity of playing in front of a paying crowd.
“To make my debut at New Road was fantastic and I loved every moment,” said Jacey, who already stars for the county’s under-18s.
Father and fellow DSCC bowler Paul added: “Her mum and I are both extremely proud of her and it was quite fitting that Jacey’s first Worcestershire senior match was against Notts.
“Hopefully there will be more appearances to come.”
