A HOCKEY club proved a hit in Droitwich when it hosted a day dedicated to encouraging people to take up the sport.
Just under 100 past, current and future members turned out at the club for the HockeyFest Open Day which was part of national scheme.
In the morning, youngsters took part in a stick and skills session before getting involved in a game. The fun continued into the afternoon where there was food and a raffle on offer.
There was also a match between Chairman XI and President XI which saw the Chairman team run out 4-0 winners on the brand new playing surface.
All the goals came in the second half, with Lee Wakelam breaking the deadlock before Dave Hindle, Lucy Hine and Craig Timmis netted to wrap up a comfortable victory.
With ambitions to increase the number of people to more than 100 next year, the club are looking for players to attend its Wednesday night training session, which starts at 7.30pm.
