WELL-KNOWN veteran strikers Dean Holdsworth and Mark Owen showed once again they have not lost their goalscoring touch as they both scored hat-tricks for Droitwich Spa Veterans at the weekend.
Holdsworth, who made 610 appearances in professional football, scoring 193 times, contributed in Spa’s over 50’s 4-1 win against Nunnery Wood.
The victory ensured the Saltmen remain unbeaten and cemented their position at the top of the Worcestershire Super Vets League.
Meanwhile, Owen, one of Worcester City’s all time leading goalscorers with 124 goals and current joint-boss at Droitwich Spa in Midland League Division Two, showed his class with three goals in Spa over-35’s 4-2 victory over SWFC.
