MEADOW Park u13s remain top of the pile in the Worcestershire FA County Youth Development League after securing a 3-1 victory at Tewkesbury Town.
The Bromsgrove side are on a crest of a wave and came into the encounter on the back of two comfortable wins. But they took a while to get going this time around, while solid defending from Milton Bowers, Joe Green and Cain Ellis was needed as Tewkesbury started brightly.
But Park’s pace and strength began to show as the half went on and at the midway point, Terrel Jeffers put his side in front.
The visitors then kicked on in the second period as Theo Fields doubled their lead before Jacob Willis and Josh Done combined to provide Elliot Ward with a chance for the third.
Tewkesbury did pull one back as Daniel Kearney was beaten following a goalmouth scramble while the hosts also had a period of pressure late on. But Park, who take on neighbours Droitwich Spa at the Harris Brushworks ground tomorrow (Saturday), stood firm to secure all three points.
