DROITWICH suffered mixed fortunes in the latest round of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Winter League.
The Men’s E team went down 3-1 to David Lloyd Dudley B but the Ladies C earned an excellent winning draw away to Pershore C.
For the Men’s E, Sam Reavey and Ricky Hollander played good tennis but came up short in both of their matches 2-6, 5-7 and 1-6, 1-6.
Mark Venables and Steve Whittaker also lost their first match 1-6, 3-6 but played excellently to win their second 6-2, 6-2.
The Droitwich Ladies C finished 2-2 at Pershore C and did just enough to claim the winning draw by 39 games to 34.
Linda Price and Aileen Baker gave their all but sadly lost both of their matches 5-7, 3-6 and 3-6, 4-6.
However, Karen Hay and Jackie Passey dominated both of their matches 6-4, 6-3 and 6-2, 6-0.
