DROITWICH motor-racing side Team Dynamics extended their lead at the summit of the British Touring Car Championship manufacturers table, after Matt Neal secured a podium place on his season debut.
He achieved a stunning second place finish in race two at Donington Park, on the anniversary of his famous £250,000 race win in a Nissan Primera 20 years previous on the same track.
His opening race resulted in a fourth-placed finish, before a second in race two and a slip-up in race three in 18th.
Neal spoke of his delight to find his way onto the podium for the first time this season, and said: “Its great to be on the podium – our championship starts here.”
It leaves Neal in seventh place in the BTCC Drivers’ Championship after six rounds, whilst his Team Dynamics team-mate Dan Cammish lies in 14th.
The team now gear up for the next meeting at Thruxton in Hampshire, on 19th May.
