Phillips brothers claim gold medals for Kazoku-Kan at Midland Area Mix and Match Competition

LUKE PHILLIPS put up an outstanding performance to claim gold for Kazuko-Kan Judo Club at the Midland Area Mix and Match competition on Sunday.

Phillips won all of his fights with conviction at Erdington Academy to walk away with top prize for the Droitwich-based club.

Younger brother Jordan, who was competing in his first competition, gave his all and managed to claim a gold medal as well.

Siblings Harry and Sian Evans had some though opponents in their line-ups but both managed to battle hard to claim a bronze medal each.




Finally, Rob Alloway won both of his contests to claim gold in the senior category.

Instructor Rich Morrish said: “The standards of fighting and the level of team work in the club has been amazing since we opened in January and it’s great to see these kids put in the work and see the results for themselves.”
