FOLLOWING the second week of competition in the Droitwich Spa Pool League, The Pillar of Salt and Westcroft Arms are the early front runners in the Oakwell Brewery Premiership.
Pillar of Salt beat Fox & Goose 7-2 while Westcroft had the best win of the night, running out 8-1 winners over Bite the Pillar.
Both side share the top spot with 19 points.
The only other teams with two wins out of two are level on 17 points.
The Doverdale Arms won 6-3 away to Ringostars and the Hop Pole Green Army were 6-3 victors over Star Dinosaurs.
Bells Belles and Young & Old Ringers won their first matches of the season with 6-3 victories over The Dovey and Barley Mow respectively.
