Rampant Rouslers score perfect ten at Warwick

BROMSGROVE Sporting inflicted more misery on Racing Club Warwick as they ran out 10-1 winners at Townsend Meadow last Saturday.

The Rouslers put eight goals past the Warwickshire outfit earlier this season and they seemed determined to wreak havoc once again.

Chrisi Conway was the pick of the scorers as he bagged a hat-trick, while Sean Brain and Jozsef Jakab notched up braces.

Josh McKenzie, Jack Wilson and Aaron Williams also found the back of the net as Bromsgrove maintained their title challenge with their biggest victory of the season.

With a swirling wind and an uneven playing surface, conditions were far from ideal, but Sporting knuckled down and hit the ground running.

Conway got the opener inside two minutes when he side-footed home from ten yards following a Brain cross before McKenzie doubled their lead with a header.

The home side then sprung to life as former Rousler Jake Brown robbed Craig Jones in midfield and beat two defenders but his weak shot was turned round the post by Sporting keeper Jake Bedford.

On the 38th minute Brown had another fine run up field putting his shot just over the bar. But just a minute later his striking partner Jamie Vadusz showed how to do it with a great strike from 20 yards which flew into the top corner.

Sporting responded immediately with Conway netting and they kicked on from there.

Seven minutes after the interval Brain got a deserved goal when he turned 180 degrees to fire home Sporting’s fourth before Jakab’s shot managed to creep over the line for the fifth.

Brain scored from the penalty spot on 67 minutes after a handball and the frustration finally got to the Warwick manager who was ordered out of the dugout for comments made to linesman over the incident.

The goals were coming thick and fast for Bromsgrove as Jakab fired under Conal Dowling before Wilson put away the best goal of the game with a 30-yard screamer.

Williams scored number nine on 79 minutes with a tap in at the far post and with eight minutes left Conway completed his hat-trick.

The hosts could have reduced the deficit on the 86th minute but substitute Tristan Perry put his shot well wide.
