BROMSGROVE Sporting have appointed former Studley boss Paul Smith as their new manager following the resignation of Adrian Mander 10 days ago.
Chairman John Teece announced on Monday morning that the search was over and said the Smith’s appointment would take immediate effect.
“The movement of managers is never planned, but can come out of the blue as it did with the resignation of Adrian Mander just over a seek ago,” he said.
“One of my jobs as chairman is to have a view of a number of managers who could fit the bill if we need to find a replacement.
“Paul is one of those I have monitored over the last couple of years.
“Fortunately he applied and my football committee felt he was the leading candidate who ticked all the boxes for us. I didn’t even need to vote.
“I would like to express my thanks to Adrian for his work over the past year and also to his wife Mandy who was a big help behind the scenes.”
