BROMSGROVE Sporting will be aiming to start another winning run when they travel to Warwickshire tomorrow (Saturday) to face Southam United.
Manager Paul Smith tasted only his second league defeat since taking over the reins at the Victoria Ground when the Rouslers lost 2-1 to Cadbury United.
Last Saturday’s loss also ended their 17-match unbeaten streak in Midland Football League Division One which stretched back until September.
Fortunately for Sporting they did not lose further ground on leaders Highgate United who were beaten 4-3 by Stafford Town.
But the Rouslers, who are seven points adrift of the summit, will be determined to bounce back when they take on Southam United at Banbury Road.
Fourth placed Bromsgrove hammered Southam 7-0 when they faced them in December, but their opponents have won the last three games, while Sporting have claimed just one victory in their last five league matches.
