Westcroft set for fifth pool title

Droitwich Editorial 18th Feb, 2016 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

WESTCROFT Cartel look set to clinch their fifth Premiership title in six years as they have a nine-point lead at the top following a 7-4 victory away at Star Dinosaurs with only four league games remaining.

Young and Old Ringers claimed an 8-3 victory over The Pillar of Salt to move to within a point of the league leaders, while The Doverdale Arms appear to have cemented their place in the Premiership with a 9-2 demolition of basement club Westcroft Arms.

The game between Ringobells and Hells Bells was abandoned last night (Wednesday) but the reason is unknown.

PILLAR of Dreams moved to the summit of the Championship table after they beat previous leaders Hop Pole Blue Army 8-3.

A similar scoreline for The Dovey over bottom club Pillar Team Freaks ensured they sit one point off Pillar of Dreams.

The ladies team, Bells Belles, made it four wins on the spin after edging past The Hop Pole Green Army 6-5.

Meanwhile, the other Championship game saw Star Asbo also claim a narrow 6-5 victory over Pillar Motley Cue.
