Young Ravens do club proud

Droitwich Editorial 27th Jun, 2015 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

NORTH East Worcestershire Ravens U13s headed to Nottingham Outlaws on Sunday to take part in the first junior festival of the 2015 season.

Ravens played matches against Nottingham Outlaws and Wolverhampton Wasps and were thankful to the loan of some players from their opposition to help make up their numbers in true festival spirit.

The Ravens boys enjoyed every minute of the games and the development over the games was exceptional.

Director of rugby Jason Spafford said: “I was really impressed with the spirit of our players who joined forces with a range of teams.

“They managed to work well with all of them in a short space of time and the development through the morning was amazing and looks good for the rest of the season.”

NEW Ravens’ open age team saw Saturday’s scheduled game against Boston cancelled as Boston were unable to field a full squad due to the long distance to travel.

Ravens, who were awarded the points, visit Telford Raiders on Saturday.
